Community connections

Community is an important concept in heritage identification, assessment, and conservation. After all, it is those communities that value heritage that conserve heritage.

Working with local communities over the years has led to some enduring community connections from frogs to dragon boating and all things in between.

The Corroboree Frog conservation and captive breeding program.

Corroboree Frog species are threatened with extinction. The Southern and Northern Corroboree Frogs are listed as Critically Endangered at a state, national, and international level. Annual surveys of all known sites for the Southern Corroboree Frog suggest that this species is perilously close to extinction in the wild.
