The study encompassed Lots 1, 4 and 5 DP249446, Lot 1 584515 and Lot 3 DP249446, Appin and was commissioned by the client to inform an application to rezone the land to a mixture of R2 Low Density Residential, C2 Environmental Conservation (with additional permitted uses) and RE1 Public Recreation to facilitate urban development. The proposal will allow for the development of approximately 235 residential lots, 3.4 hectares (ha) of public recreation land and 19.5 ha of strategic conservation land.

The study included a review of historical maps, plans, databases and reports relevant to the study area to assess the extent of any areas of archaeological potential. It was supplemented with a site survey to confirm the assessment.
