Canberra Renewal Authority was considering the possibilities to improve its use, amenity, comfort and attractiveness for locals and visitors alike at the City Hill and engaged NOHC to assist by ensuring that the process respected the heritage values of this significant element of the Canberra landscape. We reviewed the heritage listings and recommended the possibilities to revive one of the apexes of Griffin’s plan. The major challenge was to provide for the creative renewal of the landscape within the parameters set by its heritage listing.
