HumeLink involved the construction of new high-voltage transmission lines and associated infrastructure between Wagga Wagga, Bannaby and Maragle (NSW).
The proposed corridor passed through mostly rural areas under a range of land uses including cropping, grazing, horticulture, forestry and renewable power. The findings were used to inform the HumeLink Scoping Report and identify future steps in the assessment of heritage for the HumeLink Environmental Impact Statement.
One of the primary challenges was property access. As access to the entire route was not available a detailed predictive model was developed that was iteratively informed and updated as the field work progressed.
