Government

We work with Local State and Territory and Commonwealth Government Projects to deliver a range of projects.

Government agencies require specialist heritage advice, whether to assist with assessing development activities, managing registered heritage items and community facilities, undertaking research, policy advice around the protection of heritage including planning for the impacts of climate change, or expert heritage advice for legal matters.

NOHC team has decades of experience covering all areas of heritage assessment, conservation management, stakeholder and community group consultation, archaeological and heritage research and research support services, and policy development and implementation.

We are familiar with the heritage requirements and legislation across local state and commonwealth jurisdiction.

We acknowledge Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, their many diverse communities across our nation and their rich culture. We pay respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as Australia’s first peoples and as the Traditional Owners and custodians of the land and water across the Australian landscape and seascape. We recognise and value the ongoing contribution of Aboriginal people to Australian life and how their contribution continues to enrich our society.
